Practical Education Problems in the Faculty of Education at Gaziantep University of Afrin from the Students’ Perspectives

Abstract:

The study aimed at identifying the nature of the problems facing the Syrian students in the faculties of Class Teacher and Psychological Counselling at the Department of Education of the Gaziantep University of Afrin based on their perspectives. To meet the goals of the study, the researcher embraced the descriptive analytical approach being the most appropriate for such studies. He constructed and developed as well a questionnaire of 35 problems categorized into 4 topics: supervisor-related problems, teacher-related problems, collaborator, school administration-related problems, and students-related problems. The sample included 52 students of both sexes duly registered in the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023. The appropriate statistical methods were adopted for analyzing the data. The results showed that:

  • The practical-education problems facing the students were ordered as follows: administration-related problems, students-of-class-teaching-related problems, academic-supervisor-related problems, collaborating-teacher-related problems.
  • There is no statistically significant difference between the averages of the practical education problems attributed to the variable of sex.
