Psychological Resilience and its Relationship to Burnout among Teachers of the First Cycle of Basic Education in Idlib city – Qah Educational Compound

Abstract

The recent study aıms to explore the nature of the relatıoshıp between the psychological resilience and its relationship to burnout among teachers of the first cycle of basic education in Idlib city – Qah Educational Compound. The researcher followed the descriptive correlational method. The research sample consisted of 186 he/she teachers. The researchers made use of a number of tools like the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale foe psychological resilience (2003), and the Maslash Inventory for assessing burnout (1981). The study took place in the year 2022-2023. The results were:

  • There is negative correlation between psychological resilience and the psychological burnout among the teachers of Idlib – Qah Educational Compound.
  • There is a high level of psychological resilience among the sample participants.
  • Low level of psychological burnout among the participants
  • No statistically significant differences between the averages of teachers’ responses on psychological resilience scale in terms of sex variable.
  • No statistically significant differences between the averages of teachers’ responses on psychological burnout scale in terms of sex variable.
