Abstract:

The research aims at introducing the quality of family-friendly atmosphere available as far as parentless teenagers are concerned in the light of some variables. The two scholars applied the descriptive approach to a main sample of 74 parentless teenagers, male and female, in addition to a subordinate sample of 74 teenagers used by the scholars to find an answer to the question of disparity on the part of the teenagers, in accordance with the variable of loss at Atma Camp for refugees, in the year of 2021. Based on availability, the sample is non-randomly selected. Making use of scale of family-friendly atmosphere designed by Khalil (2006), the research came out with the following results:

1-    The members of the sample suffer from unstable family-friendly atmosphere.

2-    Statistically significant disparities are found between the two averages of the sample members engaged on the scale of family-friendly atmosphere, according to the variable of the father’s loss in favor of the ones with fathers available.

3-    No statistically significant disparities are found between the two averages of the sample members engaged on the scale of family-friendly atmosphere according to the variable of gender (male-female).

Key Words: family-friendly atmosphere – father’s loss – teenager
