Attitude Towards Life of Women with Disabilities in Northern Syria in Light of Certain Variables

Abstract
This research aims to identify the level of attitude towards life among a sample of women with disabilities in northern Syria and to perceive the differences in life attitudes based on variables such as employment, marital status, nature of disability, and educational level. The research embraces a descriptive analytical approach. To achieve its objectives, a life-attitude scale was applied to a sample of 43 women with disabilities in northern Syria. The outcomes of the research are as follows:
- A high level of attitude towards life was found among the sample members.
- Statistically significant differences were identified between the average scores of the sample members on the life-attitude scale based on the employment variable (employed / unemployed), endorsing the employed.
- Statistically significant differences were found between the average scores of the sample members on the life-attitude scale based on marital status (married / single), endorsing married ones.
- Statistically significant differences were identified between the average scores of the sample members on the life-attitude scale based on the nature of the disability (partial / total), endorsing those with partial disabilities.
- Statistically significant differences were found between the average scores of the sample members on the life-attitude scale based on educational level, endorsing those with a university education.
