Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the contribution of personality type A and personality type B in predicting professional adjustment levels of personnel working in the field of psychological services in the city of Al-Bab in northern Syria. A correlational descriptive method was employed, utilizing a questionnaire to measure personality types developed by Dr. Leila Sharif and a professional adjustment questionnaire by Sami Khalil Fahjan. The study included a sample of 72 doctors, nurses, and psychological specialists.
Results from regression analysis indicated that personality type A significantly contributed to predicting professional adjustment, with a regression coefficient of 0.452 and a calculated t-value of 2.282, statistically significant at the 0.026 level, which is below the required significance level of 0.05. In contrast, personality type B did not contribute significantly, with a regression coefficient of 0.128 and a calculated t-value of 0.766, not statistically significant at the 0.447 level, which exceeds the required significance level of 0.05. Furthermore, the joint contribution of both personality types was not statistically significant, with an F-value of 2.589 and a significance level of 0.083, which is higher than 0.05.
