Abstract:

The research aims at assessing the quality of the educational services offered by the University of Aleppo located in the liberated areas under the unstable circumstances available there, by means of preparing a questionnaire based on the scale of higher education performance called HEDPERF. The questionnaire distributed according to soft sample to a total of 1123 students, male and female, enrolled in different faculties and colleges. The data were processed with the program of statistical analysis SPSS and through the application of a number of statistical types such as descriptive statistics, stability, and testing the differences among averages through t-test and One Way ANOVA. 

The results of the research summarized as follows:

  •           Quality grade ranging from average to good in terms of academic aspects, as related to the issues of performance of the teaching staff.
  •     Grade of average concerning the performance of the administrative staff and the university facilities like halls and labs.
  •     Grade ranging from average to good as far as the programs and instructing plan are concerned.
  •     Grade of good related to the reputation of the university.
  •     Grade of average concerning transportation and the different means of communication.
  •     The students’ assessment of the grade of educational services significantly vary between theoretical and applied faculties/colleges.
