Academic Performance Assessment of the Profs. of the University of Aleppo in the liberated areas from Students’ point of view

Abstract:

The paper aims to identify the University students’ assessment to the performance of the university faculty members. The scholar follows the Descriptive Analytical Approach. The sample is of 103 students enrolled in the University of Aleppo/ liberated areas randomly selected. The performance assessment form prepared by the scholar is applied after being checked fair and consistent. The results are:

  1. The students’ evaluation is average in general. The highest evaluation conducted to the axis of skills of dealing with the students with an average of 4.10. Efficiency comes next with 4.06, and third is mastering the different skills of instructing with 3.20.
  2. No significant differences found between the average scores of assessment given by the members of the sample to the total of the form and to each axis individually in accordance to the variables of gender(male-female) and discipline (class teacher, psychological counsellor).
  3. Differences found in the average of the members of the sample to the total of the form and to each axis in accordance with the variable of the school grade (1st – 4th) in favor of the 4th
